a few years ago when we had the Hockey strike here in the us I stated getting into European football. Now I have 2 24 hr channels devoted to it on the cable box. Fox soccer channel and Goal tv which I pay about $10 dollars a month extra for. I really got in to the EPL & Bundasliga my favorit team was liverpool but then they took them off and made a lot of their games Pay Per View I take it Gillet had a lot to do with that. none the less because of cable European Football is getting very popular over here. they play it commercial free but put all the advertising around the screen so you have to keep your eyes focused in the middle of the screen...

Huge footie fan

Yeah I love footie, I'm a massive Liverpool FC fan always have been. We were the best team in the world in the 70's and 80's but had a rough time in the 90's I'm hoping we're making a comeback now though. The European Cup in 2005 was a big step forward, we still need more world class players though.

re footie fan

Where in the World is Harry Kewl?.... that should be a name of a game show. I have to admit I thought Peter Crouch added character to the team ever since he arrived. I barely got to see them last season once I left New York...when they went to paper view I would take the train into Manhattan 10 am to see them at the Bar. I would rather do that than pay $20 bucks a game at home. This year I want to get Liverpool TV for the computer. My Buddy did that for the Celtics and he loves it. Have you herd anything positive about that or do you get to watch it on regular telli there

If it ain't Broke, I haven't used it yet!!

LFC

I have a few friends who are subscribed to the website to get the Liverpool TV stuff, they seem to like it but I never bothered myself. We do get quite a few matches on Pay TV here and we have a subscription to Sky Sports so I watch all the LFC games I can, they don't show all Liverpool matches though, some of them just aren't on TV here at all, apparently they aren't allowed to be shown because thy think it will affect the crowd attendance. It sucks, sometimes I just have to check results on TV or maybe get the commentary on the radio if I'm lucky. Often it's on live in other countries and we can't even watch it here, how stupid is that? Urrgh!!

You can sometimes find streams of the games on the net but quality is always really poor. I tend to watch Match Of The Day to see all the highlights. Not much choice really. I used to go to some of the games but I've been sick for a couple of years and stopped going. I can never fit in the damn seats in the ground anyway, I'm 6 feet 4 and it's really uncomfortable getting the blood flow to your legs cut off just to watch a game you know:)

re LFC

I'm going to see how much LFC I do get on these two channels...the hard part is that they will play the Saturday game on Tuesday or something, not too much of a problem for me because I keep a news black out and its never in the papers here...but there is nothing like the real thing on a Saturday morning live Game...

Next game a friendly vs Wrexham july7th 1500 your time.

ads around the screen?

ads around the screen? that's fucking breaching elemental human rights!
by the way boys the season is finished, why are we talking football?
ps. two of my best mates followed teams that got relegated, so they have a whole season of following championship, ha ha ha.

More games

They get more games to watch then, 46 fixtures instead of 38 and it's a more competitive league I'd say... not that I'd want Liverpool to be in it haha :P

Big footie fan

Well, actually not that big, I've lost some weight, you know ...
Seriously, though, a huge Celtic fan (more than a couple Liverpool connections there) and very busy watching the U-20 comp here in Canada ...
